Question Permanent mouth problem

My parents and sister have a cat (well many) one of them is Fibrizo, also known as Fibrix a tuxedo kitty of semi-long hair, a little crazy, a little angry sometimes but very loving and handsome.
Fibrizo was found by my sister in really bad shape as a kitten, with a skin infection, worms, etc. She took him to the vet they cleared all that and with time he grew into a beautiful cat and he has those charming sleepy eyes.

Fibrizo since a while ago has been struggling with an on going situation that brings him a lot of pain. He has a problem on one side of his mouth (inside) on one side in between the gum and the inner cheek. He gets this sort of ulcer and inflamation, sometimes with discharge (pus), my family tries to get him clean as much as he lets them. It's very painful to him and it has been on going for a couple of years now. It gets better and worse and so on. He has been taken to more than 1 vet (many times) and no one has been able to figure what it is or give a specific diagnosis. Vets testing has brought Fibrix a lot of pain. He also got one tooth extracted, many things have been tried and nothing brings really a solution.

That has made him moody and more violent when trying to assist him by cleaning or administrating prescriptions (and it's perfectly understandable) when it gets bad he has trouble grooming and also his saliva it's stinkier so he gets all smelly for that reason now they take him to the vet to give him a bath and slightly trim his fur (since it's long) to make it easier for him, since he can't groom himself too well when it hurts.

I've done some research and sometimes it could be something immune system related, also heard that is often a puzzling situation for most vets
I'm not there with Fibrix but it always worries me that no one has been able to do something effective about this mouth infection. Has anyone heard about something similar?

My mom says that some days she can see the pain in his eyes and it breaks my heart really.
He has his good seasons as well, and the status improves but still I am so worried because that thing just won't go away.

Here's our cutie taking a nap on the terrace's roof (they have access to the bedrooms through it as well and it's a pretty safe spot)

Maybe check out this on google...Rodent Lip or Ensepholitus Granuloma (not sure if thats the right spelling. There are many threads on here about it as well. Does it ever get crusty around his nails on his paw?

Have any of the vets mentioned Stomatitis? What sort of medications and treatments has he been given?

And lastly, what does he eat?

I have a friend going throught the same thing with her cat. Does he experience bleeding from the mouth as well? Her vet may extract some teeth. I'm going to look at those ideas the other posted and see if the symptoms match. This litter was rescued in a barn, mother died and they have done their best but it was a very unhealthy litter to start.

Thank you for all and each one of your replies
@Winston and SCM
Yes, it gets crusty but only the discharge that comes from one side of his lips, but nothing around his nails and paws. I researched Rodent Lip and the location of his problem doesn't seem to match the usual it looks much more similar to the Stomatitis.

So far he has had tooth extraction, Drained the discharge several times, also they have cut to drain originally they thought it was an abscess it's obviously not when it became reoccurring. He also has been under antibiotics.
I remember him having a minor surgery also because they thought a saliva duct was blocked.
I'll check with my mom and sister today if anything else.

He eats but sometimes it gets hard since it hurts, but his appetite is there so food has to be extra soft those days of more pain.
I'm very concerned about Fibrix and also very interested on getting the right treatment for him since I want him to live pain free of that.
I'll send them the information.

If you have more ideas keep them coming.

Marty, sometimes the discharge gets a bit darker and crusty but I'm not sure if it's blood it could be since obviously bacteria attack the swollen tissue. I wish your friend and the kitty along with those kittens best luck and recovery soon babies <3<3<3

If it isn't stomatitis, wondering if the vet considered mouth cancer.

I don't think Vet has run a bloodwork. Brix is 4 and a half by now.
I'm thinking a blood test and maybe a biopsia should shed some light on this.

Update.

Fibrizo also known as Brix, Fibrix, furry heart, etc <3 was taken to another city in the search of better medical attention and...
His mouth seems to be recovering, there has been no secretion.
He was tested for feline leukemia and turned negative.
Fibrix is around 5 years old but the problem has been around since he was like 3.
After I posted this some weeks after he was taken to the vet again but it just didn't work that's why about a month ago they decided (my sister and parents) to try a different city.
He was treated with steroids and antibiotics. He got a bath and a grooming session (with his mouth problem sometimes is painful for him to groom and he has long hair)
Side effects:
On his way back home (by car) he peed with blood and that never happened before.
The blood stopped next day. My sister kept him in her room with a litter tray and spent the most time possible with him to make sure how the pee problem was doing. No more blood
He was given a special diet. And Brix continues his medical treatment.

I know the thread is old but knowing that you usually take the time and care to reply to these problems at least an update to know what happened :3

The peeing blood must have been so scary, Koteburo!
I really hope the new vet will be able to pinpoint the problem and get your handsome little tuxedo boy all fixed up
Lotsa and prayer's for you all!
