I found two Yorkies this morning in St-Hubert. They are safe and warm. Please contact me via e-mail coppperbelle@yahoo.com

Wow, they are lucky you found them. It's pretty cold out there for such little pups to be out running around, never mind all the other inherent dangers!

Two Yorkies

The poor things were shaking and filthy. I don't know how long they were outside. I was told that they had a number of near misses with cars this morning.
I called animal control and as of 10:30 this morning no one had reported them missing.

It sound like the poor dogs have been abandoned if no one had reported them missing. Are they skinny looking too? Thanks goodness you found them before they got hit by a car .

Two Yorkies

They have been claimed. The owner was very anxious to get them back. She was lectured on how matted fur hurts, that a 9 year old should be fixed and not having puppies, that the lump on the underside of her female could become cancerous if it wasn't already so she should see a vet immediately and last but not least, fix her fence so that her dogs couldn't escape.

A happy ending!

Yay for happy endings. I hope she took your overly gentle advice. I may not have been so very very kind as you!

Wow, I wouldn't have been that kind with my words, nor given the puppies back to them! Ok maybe that would have been a little too much, but I would off hesitate, can't believe what goes through people's mind when they neglect their pets this way. Thankfully you found them and spoke up for them.

I can understand being upset with the dogs owners but I don't think it would had done the dogs any good to had gotten mad at their owners. People get on a defense when they're being yelled at and will not listen to the other person advice no matter how good it is. I think the OP did what was best for the dogs . The OP kept their cool and that was good.

That is right... I wouldn't have yelled though I never really do, I just would have been a little tougher with my words I think. Everything happens for a reason, maybe it was about time someone told them what those pups needed and that's why they ran away that day to find coppperbelle
