Pickles is very pretty. Have you kept fish before? I have 4 fancies like your fellow there and they're now the size of my fist.

She is very pretty! Or is it a boy? Either way, Pickles is a stunner!

goldfish can live for 30 years and can grow over a foot long, they are very messy fish and require a high level of oxygenation. please invest in a full sized tank with a strong filter or your fish will not live very long.

She (or he) is very pretty. The surroundings compliment her/his colors. I have to agree with Cell as far as a bigger tank and filter.

We have tropical fish and so far, there's a Danio fish in the tank that is over 8 years old!! I put my tank up in 2001 and it's the last original survivor. It's mate did a "free willy" from a holding tank years ago when I had to do a thorough cleaning but this little guy is still going strong. I also have Angels, and strawberry, blueberry and lemon tetras--they're so pretty.

I don't know much about fish, but I've never seen a goldfish grow a foot long. I have seen and read of Koi growing that large and living for a very long time. A good size aquarium is a good idea, though. Give her a good bit of room.
