Makin' Soup!

I ran into a nice price for hamburger, and have a bunch of leftover vegies, some white rice, some basmati rice, and found a bag of lentils in the pantry.

So are lentils okay for doggie cold weather soup? They're a good source of plant origin protein, but anyone know if they're okay for my dog? If she can't have them, I'll just have to make some lentil soup for me then.
