Carsick kitty
My cat is a three year old tabby. Usually, whenever I take her in the car with me, she seems to get carsick. Is there anything I can give her so she won't get sick on our drives? Unfortunately, driving her places is inevitable. Thanks!

Carsickness in animals is often caused by anxiety, not the motion.
Do not give this cat any medications without consulting a vet. One thing you can try is "Rescue Remedy", which is a calming and natural liquid that is easy to administer. You can get it at most health food stores. You could also try something called "Feliway" which is a pheramone based spray that is supposed to relax cats. This you can get at your vet, but it is very expensive. |

I had a dog once who was car sick every time. we ended up just putting him in the car with the doors open for 5 minutes took him out and let him relax a bit. then after he was comfortable with the car we shut the doors, after a few times of this we started the car you get the drift of this by now but eventually he could go everywhere with us, it took some time but it was accomplished then when we would leave without him he would poop on the hall carpet
