Cute.. I guess the ears are supposed to be down on those kitties? Is it part of their breed?

Yes, Prin - they're called Scottish Folds because they originated in Scotland and their ears are folded forward into a little cap - they're also the sweetest-natured, purriest, most affectionate creatures you can imagine!

Does it make more work? I mean, dogs with closed ears get ear infections more often then those with open ears.. Does it change anything about them?

They're certainly pretty girlies.

Actually, the fold seems to protect the ear. I've never had any problems with their wee lugs, and they don't get any more wax than other breeds. I inspect them very regularly, of course, and gently clean when necessary.
The main problem with the folded ear, is that you can't rely on it to stay folded! It seems to be a hormonal thing, as pregnant females often straighten out a bit, sometimes altogether. Mine have always gone back into place afterwards, though I have seen some queens who were spoiled for showing after having kittened. I once had an absolutely gorgeous little Blue/White Longhair Fold boy, whose very pretty well-folded ears suddenly started to open when he was three months old, into a kind of heliocopter blade shape - so sad. From Top Show to sweet pet overnight! He went to a very good home, and is much loved, so never mind.

uhhhh, hi, didn't know you were there...

I surprised Ismaelle by lifting my comforter. She loves sleeping under blankets. We have to check all the beds before we sit or lie on them now! LOL

I have three black cats 'cuz it seems noone has a 'thing' for them. Chinchilla was a feral, dora was poisoned and Kibo is straight from a plastic bag in the city garbage bin. Of course I LOVE black cats now and my nieces and nephews think I'm a witch (and I don't correct them)

And Max IS the sweetest thing, just has a nasty habit of barking at people who walk by themselves.

What's a case of tims? A box of donuts? That's it? If I buy you 10 boxes, can I have him?
And no, you definitely don't post enough of him. Seriously. Feel free to post more any time. He's lovely. Peach is ok too, but I have a soft spot for Simon.
