Golden needs a new home

I am fostering a 9 year old golden girl that is looking for a new forever home. Her mom couldn't keep her anymore for personal reasons and was devastated to have to let her go. She is a sweet girl that wants nothing more than to be loved and love someone back. She gets along with cats, dogs and loves children.

Contact me for more information. Hopefully I will have a picture of her up on our web site tomorrow.

Golden needs a home

She really is beautiful both on the inside and out. Tonight I had company for dinner and 3 extra dogs visiting. Charm had never been around other dogs before I began to foster her and she was so good with all of the new dogs that came over. She is really a sweetheart and is so young at heart. I hope that someone takes a chance on her because she is truly a special girl who wants nothing more than to be loved.

Golden retriever up for adoption

I thought I would post an update on Charm as she has been with me for 10 days and I have gotten to know her a little better. She is a sweet girl that loves everyone and everything. She gets along with dogs, kids, cats, and people. She adores being groomed and will lay down and almost fall asleep as I cut her nails or brush her. When I pull out the vacuum I have to vacuum her first otherwise she barks at me. I have learned that when she wants something she will bark at me. If her water dish is empty or she needs to go out she gives a little bark and runs to what she needs. She is perfectly clean in the house and listens very well. She is quickly learning to walk nicely on a leash. She is not a barker, does not run away when let loose outside and knows her basic commands.
Because she is so calm she would make an excellent companion for a family with children or an older person once she perfects walking on a leash. She is 9 years old but very active and in good health.
If you would like to see a picture of her visit our web site

Just to let you folks know how Charm is doing...
Doing great as you can see below. She's lost a few pounds.
Just want to thank-you for enabling us to have such a wonderful but weird dog.

She more often than not will grab the leash and drag us back home during walks. Sometimes we can't even go for a 100 yards. When she's in the "let's go home" mode and we try and stop to talk to a neighbour, forget it! she pulls us away. Everyone laughs about her. Click on the pic below to see.
It's a bit worst at night but also occurs during the day too

Maybe she wants to get back home asap to get her cookie ? Sam does that , he knows he getting a carot back home. I love her pictures by the way. She looks so comfy on her doggie bed. Thank you for adopting a senior rescue golden. Not looking for a second one perhaps ?

Brian
Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear that Charm is doing so well. She looks fantastic. She did like to walk herself when she was with me but didn't drag me back to the house. That is a new behavior I guess. Goldens are eccentric sometimes but that is what makes the so "CHARMing"
