Puppy Grabbing Leash UPDATE
Thanks to all for your suggestions ------- Hudson (Border Collie) did remarkably well yesterday while walking. However, the walk took quite a long time as we did stop frequently. When he grabbed the leash I stopped immediately and didn't look at him. He didn't think it was much fun at all to play with the leash by himself!! I had tried stopping before, but I always looked down at him and I guess he thought I was engaging him for some play time. I have been careful not to play tug of war games with him and I knew this was very close to becoming just that. So on we go...............

Beautiful puppy!! Nothing is going to work overnight, and yes your walks may take quite awhile for now.
Dogs prefer ANY attention (even negative) to NO attention, so this will work if you keep at it. Also, he is probably teething, so make sure he has plenty of stuff to chew. |

What LuckyRescue said is so true,Our puppy does the same thing and we just ignore him and he looses interest of biting his leash.
Very beautifull puppy DeerClan
