8 week kitten - new info/pics/MTL

Here is the little guy whose owners wanted killed. He's fighting and doing fairly well with supportive care and meds. The vet staff named him "Caramilk" and he's just as sweet as that candy bar!

Keep your fingers crossed that this baby will make it! He's only 1 1/2 lbs and so tiny.

His care is up to 250.00 now, so if anyone wants to kick in a few pennies to help, I'll be posting how to do so shortly!

Sorry LR, must have missed it, other than the fact that he's so tiny.. What's wrong with the little gaffer?

It's hard to be sure what's wrong with him. Could be FIP, but the symptoms are vague and mimic many other illnesses. Could be a form of gastro. He just needs much supportive care. We're hoping he will get well!

Caramilk is feeling much better and flying around my house like he has wings. Stinkerbell and the other cats hate him, but Chloe loves him.

What seems like the perfect couple is coming to see him Sunday!

Awww, poor little Caramilk. Hope no-one starts to call him Carry. Maybe Milky, lol If I was closer I'd donate. I just sent a small fortune to Siamese Rescue for very ill Blue Point who needs some expensive vet care and my quota for the month is pretty much used up.

Caramilk seems to be thriving though! I hope he finds a wonderful forever home!

Am I nuts or was this bugger in another thread too? I thought he was adopted already. Am I nuts?

No- I'm wrong. The adopted one was different.. Sorry.

I just love this one's face. Stuck in my mind. If only he was hypoallergenic.

Hopefully, he is going to a new family - people who chose the house they live in to accomodate their pets!!

Here is "cute"!! I just LOVE this baby, and will find it hard to part with him!

When we found my cat Cali she was 4 weeks old and under a pound, all she was , was a bag of bones. She was lucky and survived, the rest of her litter was found dead, her momma was killed by a car. She is now 5 years old and only weighs about 6 lbs. My sisters found a Manx at our friends farm he had been dumped, he had severe gastro problems and must of cost them about $500 in vet bills to make him better. So many poor animals are not well cared for or dumped, it drives me crazy, I wouldn't even want to start on what my last dog Travis's life started out like.

Thanks for telling me that doggy lover! I had a little crisis with Caramilk last night, and thought I would lose him.

Back to the vet this morning, after a sleepless night - feeding liquid with syringe, pills, pastes......I just hope he's as lucky as your Cali and your sister's kitty!

Thanks Prin!

The new meds and ricewater really perked him up, and this morning he screamed for food for the first time! He must be feeling better since he drove Chloe off her favorite sofa with a good ear-boxing.

It's amazing how much fight is in this teeny little body.

His potential adopter came to visit him, and I think that when he's a little stronger, it will be the PURRRfect home for our baby!!

Oh definitely! He's not leaving until he regularly chows down like a champ, he puts on a bit of weight, and the diarrhea is gone. Little kittens can just die so easily sometimes, in spite of everything you do.

His adopters are willing to wait, however long it takes!

Prin, he's much cuter in person!

I can only imagine. What are the odds that this is the one cat in the universe that my man isn't allergic to?

Lucky,he seems to have really long legs,or is it just because he's skinny...here's Rocky at about the same age...
Nice floor,by the way ceramic tiles, right? I have the same colour but it's a laminate floor, with 12x12 tiles...

OMG, Rocky was so cute!!! Yes, my little guy does seem to have long legs, but it's emphasized because he's so skinny.

Thanks! I just had it put in this summer! Terracotta tiles, ceramic. It cost a fortune, but I love it and it's a pleasure to clean compared to the pathetic floor I had previously.

Caramilk is going to his new mommy and daddy tomorrow. *sniff* I'm gonna miss the little monkey butt like crazy, but it's a wonderful home!

Say "Goodnight", baby!

Good Luck to the little guy,he's one lucky little kitten
I can imagine tears will flow when you give him up,but I also trust you completely to have chosen a good home for him..

This is the first time I've seen this thread as I've been pretty limited in how often I've been able to get on here the last few weeks. How neat it is to be able to read the beginning and happy ending all at once. Lucky, you're one great person to nurse this baby through. Any pictures of the happy family with Caramilk?

I going to try and restrain myself from going to visit for at least a few days, and when I do I'll get a pic. This is the kind of home that we usually only dream about finding!!

It was Caramilk's new "dad" who brought him that teddy bear last week. Oh, and his name is going to be "Lucky Luc"!!

Yes, Chico - little tabby boys are too precious!

I've fostered lots of kittens, but none ever got to me the way this baby did! I am exhausted, but the happy ending makes up for it!

doggy lover, your Cali is so beautiful and healthy looking.

You are a wonderful person LR, you are a true , I was thinking that when I retire I'd like to foster, but don't know if I could give up the little darlings.
