This has to be the most outrageous irony of ironies....a so-called "prescription diet" for cats is found to contain a drug lethal to those same cats.
Well done, Hills!

They sell the science diet sensitive stomach in the pet stores, so I don't think it's one of the "prescription" foods. I'm not sure though. Hills could very well be the company that was informed "over a month ago", it said the FDA only learned about this after pet owners posted the results on the internet, and the only companies I have seen named on the net are Science Diet, and another food called Pet's Pride.
But who knows how widespread this could be since many companies are testing only for melamine and not for tylenol! |
