This is Ragnar!!!

This are pics of my handsome now foster Ragnar so you see him better.

They tell me he might have some Belgian Malinois in him. What do you think?
It doesn't matter to me though but it's fun to guess.

He's mixed. They tell me he seems to have either some Belgian Malinois and/or German Shepherd. He's such a cute nut job Jumping to get the toy.
I'm surprised I could nurture him into getting both big ears straight

We only know one side. The other is still unknown :P
Those are the jewels you find in the streets of Mexico. Overlooked yet beautiful.
He is really smart. But also very strong willed. Not very suitable for first time owners. He seems to have a preference for male handlers too. That little big bastoid!

He looks very alpha , I bet he a great watch dog. My older sister and her hubby lived in Mexico for awhile and she told me there were a lot of dogs living on the streets .

You have a good eye. He is very alpha as in the real deal. Wherever he goes he feels compelled to take over. He does respect the cats though. There are 3 we have to separate because those cats show a lot of fear and those are the ones he chases around without any murderous intention though
Cats have set the limits and he respects them.
While I'm here in Mexico I'm heart broken everyday. I have 2 rescues right now but there are so many more in need so frustrating and sad. Today I saw a stray white cat with a tabby head and he had a skin problem aroud the neck
There's more awareness now but still tooooons of work to do.
Funny thing you mentioned the same thing his trainer did since his first sessions. He'd be a perfect working dog, particularly in security. He'd be a perfect watch dog and/or patrol with a human guard companion. His trainer specialized in security for about 30 years.
Now I'm waiting for the right person for Ragnar so I can bring Ali home.

When I called in Berkley, Ca. I lived with a friend and we recused abused dogs . A neighbor had a St. Bernard that was tied up outside all day and night no matter what the weather was and the poor dog was not being fed. The owner was trying to made a watch dog out of the poor dog.
St. Bernard are recuse dogs and not attack dogs ! My friend and I couldn't take it anymore and went across the street and took the dog home.
We cooked a huge pot of food for him and doctored an infection on his paw. The dog was as gentle as a lamb, he wasn't a watch dog at all.
My friend and I found a St. Bernard rescue shelter and they took the dog.
Our neighbors never came looking for their dog , we took him in
broad daylight so they really didn't care about the poor dog at all.

I really feel Ragnar would made a great police dog , I don't think he would be good for a hearing dog or guide dog. Too many people would be afraid of him and that would made it hard going into public places . I had black
Standard Poodle for a hearing dog and some people were afraid of him
b/c he was a black dog. And this made it hard to go some places .
