Elbow scar

Our 15 month old pup had surgery to remove a non malig. tumor on his elbow 4 months ago. Now the scar has developed into a fair sized dry patch on his elbow.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to try and slow the process?

I understand nothing will completely remove the scar/dry patch.

If you have some Vitamin E capsules, empty the contents of a couple and rub the oil into his elbow. If he licks it, no problem. Vitamin E is great for speeding up healing - not on fresh wounds but ones that are on their way to resolving. It also moisturizes the area. Massage it in, he'll enjoy it!
