Insects and cats/dogs safe products

Hi Everyone,

Quick question. We have an ant problem in our place and the the ants are getting into both the cat food bowl and the dog food dish. Heaven forbid a kibble falls onto the floor.

Are those round ant traps with the 3 or 4 holes on the bottom safe for cats and dogs?

If not can anyone recommend a good product or proceedure.

Thank you

Herman

Find where the ants are coming from and put BORAX in that area but don't put it or traps near the pets. Ants are stupid smart. You can seal up the outside where they're coming in then on the inside put a open pop can *cut the lid off* with about 1/4 sugar pop in the bottom. THey can't climb back out That way you lure in all the ants that are already in your home.
Also, if you find the trail they normally take, wash it with soap and water..they won't be able to figure out where to go..they follow scent left by their friends, they 'mark' the territory lines to follow. They're lost without them.
