Canned Merrick?

Hi, just wondering if anyone feeds Merrick? Both my critters were on Evo canned along with their kibble, I have been trying Merrick in the last few days..I switched Pubert cuz it's lower in protien, and I switched Dazy cuz the canned Evo went up to $3 a can!!! The Merrick is $2.35. Small difference, but with all the $$$$$$ I spend on these two, I need to save where I can.

What's the good, the bad and the ugly on this stuff?

So far, it's a hit at my place, pubert's even has little cocktail size shrimp in it, in both you can see the whole foods....both critters like it and from what I can tell it sounds healthy.

I feed both my cats and my dog canned Merrick (in addition to their dry kibble). Mine love it!

good - they all love it, and I feel good feeding it to them.
bad - they now expect it.
ugly - it can get pricey over time (but worth it IMO)

I've noticed the formulas have changed slightly - there used to be more large meaty chunks in the dog food varieties.

I have fed it to Dracko but he ALWAYS farts a lot afterwards so I don't think it's the best for him.

My cats didn't like the canned.

Hi, are you sure it's the original EVO that went up in price over there in Alberta? The big EVO cans have always been around $2 here, and then when they introduced the 95% varieties, those came out at around $3, but the original EVO stayed at around $2. In the past couple of weeks I have noticed all Innova products coming down in price (at Tisol's). And today, I saw that the big 95% EVO cans came down from 2.89 to 2.39 (except for the duck). The clerk told me that it was because Innova is the only company to have brought prices down for Canadians on account of the Canadian dollar being so strong (and it's been strong for a while ... ). I suppose, though, it is still up to the individual store as to whether they will pass on the savings to the consumer.

Yes, I am sure, I am speaking of the dog food, canned, Evo, it went up to $3, from $279 for the one protien like duck or deef, and $239 for the silver mixed protien can (can't buy that one, gives Dazy bad gas!!!)...She eats a 1/4 can per day, and the Orijen is expensive too. The Merrick is still $2.35.

I only shop at little private shops, not usually the big commercial places, so I don't know what Petland and PetSmart charge for Evo, if could very well be less there...or if they even sell Evo. The place I go give a points sytems so I am hoping to buy all the food at the same place.

Sa far, so good...the critters love it!

Hey, good luck to you. Too bad about the gas with the original EVO.

Yeah, I shop at the little shops too. From online searches and such, though, I don't think Petsmart or Petcetera carry any Innova or EVO.
