Smile breeding cavies

cavies is another name for guinea pigs my friend is wondering if you can breed a female that is 18 months? it will be the cavies 1st litter

Here are some sites for you to read before you breed. PLEASE note that in the first 2 sites they say NEVER to breed a guinea after they have reached 6 months old! To do so is to risk death to the babies and the mom.

No it is not a good idea to breed.
1)The guinea pig is too old for a first litter.The chances for the mommy pig to die is high.
2)Breeding guinea pigs is not as easy as putting 2 together.You can never breed certain types of pigs together!Such as Roans and Dals.To do so can result in producing lethals.
3)The financial cost for when something goes wrong is very high!
4)There are way to many byb out there already.,No reason to become one yourself.
