Aggie you should consider taking Honey to the vet about her teeth.

I never noticed before but she is missing a tooth and her others seem worn down. The canine is very very thin...oddly thin. She's barely 2yrs old and they shouldn't look like that (has me concerned)

Ya think maybe she is wearing her teeth down on something (can dogs grind their teeth at night LOL)

But seriously, this may be a problem now or later in life. You should let the vet check her out.

Is she stressed over anything, and chewing on your furniture ??

If you want send me a couple of dif pics and I'll give u my opinion but from this pic, I'd say something isn't right.

lol, she's still hyper, for the most part, she does not chew on furniture, i caught her twice going for the couch, but that's it... she doesn't eat rocks... like Chocolate did back in the day...

If Honey has a tooth under the gum which has broken off or not erupted it could cause her troubles.

I suggest you open her mouth and look at the teeth, count them all on the left and right sides top and bottom. Look to see if they are wearing unevenly.

If you aren't sure how they should look then check Chocolates, they should look the same and be in the same places.

I will look through all of the pictures if you like. I don't know if I have one to show that specific tooth but I'll look. She was thoroughly examined by my vet, which did include a dental examination because when we got her she was a stray. My vet used her dental information to determine her age. They do this by looking for wear to the teeth and any build up of tartar.

Dr. Rae would have mentioned something to me if there was a problem with her teeth that she seen then. Perhaps this is something that is occurring as she grows or perhaps a injury that happened that you weren't aware of. It could even be something like she is using only one side to bite on, I dunno!!

But don't u think it's worth finding out what may be wrong if anything?

Okay well I looked through all the pictures that I can find and I'm sorry Aggie I don't have one of the inside of her mouth like that!

I was thinking maybe her bite is just off, sometimes if upper teeth are larger then they should be they wear on the lower ones.

With Sadie I just found out because of her undershot jaw she needs to have dental surgery.

Her canines (the adult ones are just coming in to full growth) are going to be digging in her upper palette (did I spell that right).

Anyway she needs a dental consultation with a specialist because they will need to grind down her canines so that they are not protruding into her palette then surgically fill the holes that are there from whats happening now.
Only thing is they need to wait until they fully grow to determine how much of the canines need to be reshaped.

Poor baby My little undershot jaw baby. The bump we've been watching behind her upper teeth isn't anything to worry about. The other day at the vet Dr. Rae said it's just her oddly shaped mouth. LOL We thought it may have been a tooth but it's not (thank goodness).

Okay enough rambling, sorry I can't find a pic of Honey to help you compare with. Wish I had one but it was winter and she wasn't panting ya know!

Let me know if you want the name of the dentist that I am going to take Sadie to later on. But you should just see your vet first, they may say its nothing.

Ohhh yeah, he would play in the river all day if we let him!!! This summer when I'm off, I think I'll bring my lawn chair and my book and just throw the ball all day for him!!! LOL He'll be in heaven!!! What a dog!!!
