Golden Retriever pup

Cassey is an 11 month old angel. She is spayed and up to date with all her vaccinations. Cassey was left alone for long periods of the day by her previous owner and is quite needy. She wants to be close to people all the time and is nervous around strangers. She is however very smart and has all basic training. She is good with other dogs and cats and loves children. However, given that she has a tendancy to be jumpy it would be best that she not live with young children and she would probably be happier as an only dog. Cassey will also need a home where she will not be left alone for more than a few hours on regular basis. She is crate trained and is quite happy to go to sleep in her crate when left alone but being left loose in the house stresses her. Cassey will make a wonderful companion.

Casey is not yet on our web site but will be shortly.
For more information about her please contact me.

I'm almost afraid to ask why her previous owner didn't want her any more.

She lived in an apartment, landlord was threatening to evict, no time for her.

Is she still available Copperbelle? An adopter of mine lost his gal to MD late november and he's ready for another gal now. He's a fantastic home, he adored her and worked well with her as she was not an easy golden. I don't want to point him your way if she's not available. He was recently given a springer spaniel but that someone had found... good guy that he was he took the dog to the vet, asked for them to scan it, found a chip, called the breeder then tracked the owner and reuinted the dog. So don't want another disappointment for him. Thanks.

She is still available but went up on our web site last night. I will IM you my personal e-mail address so you can give me more information about the man and I will pass it along to the pup's foster mom.

I just spoke to Cassy's foster mom and BMD's "guy" is going to visit her on Thursday. Sounds like it might be a good match.

Now I have to find a new home for an 8 year old gal who was given up due to a breakup. The wife had scheduled to put her down last night:sad: but the ex husband couldn't stand to do it and called me in tears. He is bringing her to me tonight.

OMG I hate people! K, got that off my chest.(re: 8 yr old golden) "My Guy" will be great for Cassy if it's a match. She won't ask for a more caring fellow. He did great with his other golden and loved her dearly, did all he could for her. I hope it works for them both!

YAY...I hope Cassy and "My Guy" are a good match.

I won't comment on the poor 8 yr. old with the mom as I don't want to hijack this thread.

I know I am hijacking my own thread but the person with the 8 year old was supposed to deliver her to me this evening. He didn't show up or even bother to call. I that they didn't put her to sleep. Now that would be heartless.

omg your joking... maybe hes going to keep her? how confused she must be.... i dont see why people are allowed to euthanise (sp?) healthy animals.

its a good outcome.

Good luck to Cassey ! This looks pretty good

About the 8 yr old , you know how those people are , they change their minds a couple of times , but in the end , they will very probably surrender the dog.

I hope it is just a matter of changing their minds. They had an appointment to euthanize both dogs on Monday at 7:30. I spoke to him just before 7:00.
