Question Leonberger Needs Help A.s.a.p.

help
MY FRIEND HAS A LEONBERGER PUP THAT HAS DANDY WALKER SYNDROM AND SHE WAS DOING FINE ,SHE HAS NEED OF HELP WALKING, BUT OTHERWIZE SHE IS OK.
SHE ALSO HAS A HISTORY OF SEZIURES BUT THEY ARE UNDER CONTROL WITH PHENOBARB.
THE OTHER NIGHT SHE WAS UPSET AS SHE WANTED TO GO IN AND OUT ALL
NIGHT, SHE DID HAVE A FEW BOWEL MOVEMENTS THAN SHE JUST COULD NOT GET COMFORTABLE. I SLEPT WITH HER ON THE FLOOR AND SHE DID GO TO SLEEP BUT SHE WOKE UP AND WAS ACTING UP SO WE TOOK HER TO THE VET AS SHE HAD A FEVER OF APX 107 AND WAS IN SOME TYPE OF SEZURE AGAIN. SHE HAS BEEN IN THE VETS FOR APX A WEEK NOW WITH A 102-104 FEVER AND WITH ICE PACKS ON HER AND SHE JUST STARTED GETTING IV ANTIBIO. AND ORAL ALSO. SHE HAS BOTH FRONT FEET REAL SWOLLEN ? WHY IS THAT. SHE SEAMS A BIT BETTER BUT TODAY SHE HAD A SMALL SEZIURE AGAIN CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP US. as this pup is a doll and we all love her so so much

I am not sure what is wrong with your dog but I wish you all the luck. No dog deserves to hurt like that.

Unfortunately we are not vets here.And I have no clue about the DWS..Never heard of it before.

Try doing some research on the net about it.If she is at the vets,then she should be in good hands.

I love that breed.They are big and beautiful....I wish you all the luck with the pup....

Sounds like she came from a BYB.....

The vet is the best place for information. If you want to further educate yourself on alternative treatments then just do a google search.

I have not heard of Dandy-Walker Syndrome in an animal - which is a congenital brain malformation involving the cerebellum (an area at the back of the brain that controls movement) and the fluid filled spaces around it.

Better get dog to a research vet school.

Prognosis will most likely be pretty bad.

Cerebeller hypoplasia in dogs seems to be comparable to dandy-walker in humans.
