Exclamation Terra needs a new home

Permission to cross-post.

16 yr old sm gsd mix at THS (Toronto Humane Society) this is so sad at her age. Needs foster or perm. home after 16 yrs she should not have to die this way. We have a promise of help with her medical needs and transportation if anyone can help. Contact Deb with the Watchdog Committee at watchdogcommittee@hotmail.com

When I first got this I was so upset. 16 years means nothing. I don't think there's a good enough excuse of why a dog needs to find a new home after 16 years. I do hope she finds a forever home to live the rest of her life.

She is such a beauty. I hope she finds a home.

It is sad that after 16 years she needs to find a new home, but try not to be too judgemental. There are plenty of legitimate reasons why she would need to be rehomed. The owner could have passed away. The owner may not be physically able to care for her anymore.

I would euthanize my 16 year old dog before I would put it in a shelter. This is inhumane and so very sad.

The notes on petfinder said her owners were moving and could not take her with them.

I have to agree with LR on this one, I would much rather have my dog pts while she was in my arms than have her be so alone and scared at a shelter
