Sorry Been gone a long time!

So much has happened in the past few months too much to go into right now anyways but I am back and will try and fill in as best I can!

First problem was computer crashed hard and I lost absolutely everthing and seems it took forever to find and replace it all.

Second Ryder my pittie kelpie mix had to be re-homed and went with friends this past weekend which was extremely hard and so sad for me but was best for him, us and especially Noid!

Now Noid, what can I say but for those who remember he is my hairless chinese crested and he had cystinuria which is a rare genetic disease which causes crystals in the bladder and causes blockage. Non-curable and not many treatment options either here in Canada anyways, one drug isn't available and the other has some pretty bad side effects.

So anyways he had another serious round of blockage and had to have a surgery on Saturday where a new hole to pee from is made at the base of the scrotum. It was a last resort but we had no choice, he is recovering and is very very sore and very bruised and bleeding can be anywhere from 1-3 weeks and complete bedrest as well. He has been home from the hospital foe two days now and has been quite and sleeping and taking it easy and should make a full recovery thankfully!!!

I would post pics but they are gruesome so I'll spare you all but I am just so thankful to have him home and resting and alive.

As always though he has his "noiditude" he is a little trooper!

Niya is and has been happy and healthy and it has been great having one pupper with no problems and no issues!

So anyways glad to have found you all again and so glad to be back

~Sheri~

I have been missing Noid, Niya and Ryder for soooooo loooong.
I am sorry to hear that Ryder no longer lives with you but if it's working out well for all concerned then nothing more needs to be said. He will be happy and well cared for and I know you will keep a special eye on the situation and update us on his well-being.
Poor Noidy, I know full well how hard it is to keep an active dog quiet after surgery with all I have been through with Lukka since Dec. I am sending well wishes to Noid full of kisses and hugs. He is such a special little fella.
And photos soon as you can please.
Take care Sheri, lots of love coming at your family

Yes always lots of pics

and since you asked...
Noid a couple days ago

and in the house he wears a doggy diaper to keep him from bleeding all over the place, but keeping him still and quiet has been pretty easy do far as he is still so weak

These were some of the stones from this time

And a Happier one of the kids just a few weeks ago

And soon I'm hoping Noid and Niya will be having more happy pics again

I'm glad you're back , sorry about all the problems. I don't know what you're feeding Noid but , I have a cat (Paddy) who had an urine blockage , I switched him to a raw diet and it has not come back ....

I've often wondered what happened to you and it's good to see you back.

Poor little Noid  .....lots of good wishes for a speedy recovery from the surgery. Sorry to hear about Ryker ....I hope you can still keep us updated with pics. The pic of Noid and Niya in their sleepers is too cute.

Do you still have the website for all the outfits?

Thanks for the Welcome back and all the good wishes for Noid and Ryder

Frenchy.... Noid is on a home cooked diet, he has canine cystinuria and has to be on an ultra-low protien diet so raw wouldn't work for him.

This surgery he just had should help alot though and even though he will always form stones now with a shorter urethra and the new opening they should pass without anymore blockage.

Recovery for him will be long and he is in quite a bit of pain but because of his bleeding which can be from 1-3 weeks he isn't allowed to be on pain meds as they have blood thinners and he needs to coagulate.

He's one hurtin little unit right now poor baby and it really surprised me just how awful it was even though I have done quite a bit of research and knew what to expect...or so I thought!

The vet does say that this is all normal and he is on track so far and considering he is in good shape.

I think the worst part for me is all the bruising, his whole penis and belly and up the sides a bit and all up his bum is black and blue....also normal but just makes it look very bad. And of course right now he is very weak from blood loss but that as well is normal.

He is eating and drinking and all body functions are working and he is resting alot so he should make a full recovery and in two weeks he gets his sutures out so I'll have a good idea then as to how well he's doing too.

Oh and yes I do still have the place where I get his outfits made, a wonderful lady from Crest-care a chinese crested rescue makes them and 100% of the procedes go to the rescue!

I also started up my own Doggy Boutique a few months ago so Noid and Niya will always be stylin

I was thinking about Noid yesterday. I'm so sorry he's having so much trouble. I hope he gets better real soon.
Love the outfits.
