to vs sg

ok..over the last week i have beathoven off sg wolfking and on to TO wildernes elk\salmon...he seems to REALLY love it. a little too much
he is fed 3 1\2 cups per day with snacks in between.....on SG he really never finished it all........on the TO it's gone and looking for more.....he is 55lbs and very active......was the SG more concentrated? or is the TO less concentrated? or where there fillers added to the SG?

Lettin the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin it back in.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain't gonna happen anyway.

... SG WK is 367cal/cup and TO Wilderness elk is 3680/kg. It's probably just really tasty. Is he gaining weight?

Edit: nevermind... the TO's in kcal/kg... So on Monday we'd have to call SG to get the kcal/kg from them (because getting the answers from TO is next to impossible).

TO's better than SG for sure.

If you want to switch George, you can always go with the Dakota Bison one. It's close to the WK, but better.

ok....maybe we could do the conversion ourselves!

one cup = 8 ounces
8 ounces = 226.8 g (so 0,226 Kg)

ok so : 367 cals per 0.226 --> so that's 82.942 cals per kg

wait

that can't be right --- I suck at math!

ok so : 367 cals per 0.226
so you have to do 1 kg / 0.226 = 4.424
4.424 X 367 = 1623.89.

wait

that can't be right either

I suck!!

lol no, you can't convert 8 oz of volume to 8 oz of weight... 1 cup of feathers weighs less than one cup of lead.

We just have to wait till Monday.

It's ok, we can still somehow blame it on the sneaky dog food companies. We'll find a way!

I actually weighed out 1 kg of the TO to figure it out and I think (if I remember correctly) that one cup was around the 400 calorie mark. I will try to re-weigh it tonight.

I feed Riley (6 mos - puppy, approx 60-65 lbs) 4 cups per day plus he gets quite a few snacks.
