Common Flicker

For a couple of years now,I've had the Common Flicker around,it took me a while to figure out what they were Definetly a large wood-pecker,but I've also seen it eat ants on the ground.
Right now we have a female with either a baby and a male or a female and two babies.Here's a pic..
Still no sign of the pretty Ringed Turtle Dove..

Oh Anita I LOVE the flickers and the northern flickers too.

They are beautiful and have such distinctive calls.

Almost all summer one lonely flicker flicked all day and evening to find a mate it was so sad I wanted to go find him one myself!
