What do you feed
Hi everyone, I am new here and wondering what the percentage is of people feeding raw to people feeding kibble? What do you all feed?

Are you talking dogs? Cats? or both?
I feed my cats a combination of homemade raw and canned (Nature Variety and Wellness Core). They do get Orijen as a treat.

I do not feed raw. I feed Orijen kibble to cats and dog. Wellness can for cats, and Merrick to dog.
I just cannot do the raw thing but I have heard lots of success from others here. |

Like Love4himies, I feed my cat a combo of raw and canned (not at the same time). Kibble has been banned from my house.

Should be banned in my house too, but am still using it as a calming treat when Sweet Pea and Puddles are in close proximity to each other.

Well, My Yorkshire terriers primary source of food is wellness small breed super 5 mix (Kibble).. But when we are cooking beef/steak or liver for supper she will have a meal of that (raw). And the other day I gave her chicken hearts and cod tongues(raw hearts, cooked tongues) . Plus she gets raw carrotts as treats and once a week she gets a raw bone from the butcher. (She eats as much of it as she can, but since she is small she cant eat a big bone, so the rest is given to kacee, butch or bear)
Plus she gets cooked meat while we are eating because shes a little spoiled.. lol.. So i think were doing her some good with supplementing her with rraw meat? As i Dont reeeaally like feeding kibble, but its not up to me, its up to my mom. At least shes eating good kibble though. |

My dog and cats get fed kibble and canned.
I have one cat that has had a sensitive tummy since a kitten. If he eats canned, he will puke it right up..Dry is the only thing he can keep down..And he's very healthy. And that what counts... ![]()

We don't have the freezer space to feed raw, so we're sorta stuck with kibble. We feed all eight dogs Innova Adult twice daily with yogurt one meal and pumpkin the other.

My dogs eat Orijen kibble - sometimes the chicken one and sometimes the fish, with yogurt and pumpkin to keep their tummies happy. They get Wellness Core or Innova Evo canned for some variety. I want to start supplementing with raw but can't until I get out of my apartment. No space for a freezer and no yard...I can't stomach them eating raw in my kitchen! They love fruits and veggies so they snack on broccoli, carrots, apples and frozen melon balls.
The cat eats Merricks canned. I want to get him on grain-free but when I last tried his butt exploded all over my living room. I'm about to try Now! canned with him, but only a spoonful at a time! He gets some Acana Provincial grain-free kibble to munch in between meals.

I feed my dog a rotation diet of Addiction salmon bleu dry, Addiction raw dehydrated, and homecooked. I've not done a completely raw diet but I have seared meat and left it pink inside, dog seemed fine. He's also doing very well on Addiction so I'm sticking to it.

Raw for our three dogs but one morning a week they get 'leftover stew.' I'll sometimes feed them small amounts of juiced veggies. They also get cottage cheese, canned green tripe (can't find any raw around here :sad
![]() ![]() Our current foster is fed mainly Orijen with either yogourt or green tripe and a cranberry supplement and/or juiced blueberries mixed in. Every now and then she'll get a small piece of raw meat or a chicken neck to gnaw on. She loves it.

All four of my animals ( 2 cats, 2 dogs) eat homemade raw. It's almost a year now since I switched them! All of them have shown improvements in their health, from better teeth, to nicer coats, no more gas, smalled stools, and improved vitality!

Tripe is cow stomach. Its green because it still contains all the partially digested stomach contents. It's great for dogs because it contains a lot of healthy bacteria and enzymes, but it smells like the dickens!

I feed my cats Orijen dry (the turkey and chicken one) and Wellness canned (grain-free varieties only). I feed my dog Healthy Paws raw patties. If I had more money, I'd change the kitten to raw as he seems to like my dog's patties. My older cat doesn't like raw and I don't think his stomach could take it anyway.

Feed abit of everything, depends on the season though
Winter fall and part of spring RAW with the odd kibble meal. Summer we feed kibble ( packing coolers for 4 dogs to go camping on islands is just not going to work out) Kibble meals here consist of either Orijen or Kirkland ( mostly for Meiko)

My kitten Chloe gets Wellness cans (all of the grainfree varieties except the Beefy ones, and she loves CORE cans) and some Orijen at night.
So half a can of Wellness during the day (or sometimes more) and 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup of Orijen for her to nibble on while we sleep. I plan on just giving her one can of Wellness a day when she's older, split into 3 or 4 meals.. And maybe an 1/8th of a cup of Orijen of she needs the calories, she's an active kitty. |

My dogs get a mixture of many types of grain free kibble and homemade. The dogs get one cup of kibble each per day mixed with homemade.
The cats get some dry (again a mixture of many kinds) and a mixture of many types of canned. They get one cup of dry split between the 3 of them per day and 2 cans of food per day split between the 3 of them as well. All of them also get the odd treat every day too. ![]() Cindy |

Our 6 cats get primarily canned - Evo Cat and Kitten - wet and dry, Evo 95% Duck, Wysong Turkey Duck and Chicken au jus. Tikicat various tins for a treat. Lots of table scraps - chicken, beef, ham, pork roast - basically whatever meat we eat, they get some.
Our Shi-tzu Cleo eats some of the cat foods (she lives with 6 cats so she does think she is a cat most of the time) Wysong Pheasant as well as a lot of table scraps - various meats as well as fruits, veggies and rice etc. We also tend to try new foods as they come available through our local food store. We are told that our cats are not normal ![]() Bill and Terri
