Rescuer In DDO In Trouble With City - Close To 30 Cats Must Be Placed ASAP
I have just learned of a lady who is in trouble with the municipality due to the numer of cats at her house in DDO. These include 7 semi-ferals, 2 ferals, and 20 socialized cats that she has on her property and in her house. Inspectors are going in on Tuesday, July 19th, and she is working feverishly to house/place her cats before they are taken away. A temporary solution (for a couple of weeks) has been found, but she urgently needs to find homes/barns, sanctuaries, etc. for the rest.
I have offered to put the adoptable ones on our website and also to include them in future adoption clinics. Can anyone else help? PM me and I will give you the lady's name and phone number. All cats are neutered and have been well cared for. PS: This is NOT Second Chance, but another rescuer who got in over her head with rescuing ferals.

Does she have any Siamese? Siamese Rescue would prob take them if she does. Or I could foster them... (My sister is coming from Mtl to the Maritimes in the next week or so).

Yes, Luba. That was a lady who passed away and left something like 20 cats in her apartment.
It could take a year to find homes for all these new ones, and of course no one is going to take the ferals. GOOD barn homes are not easy to find. |
