Ah what a sweet Jack--mugging for the camera next to Fluffy!

Coco looks so beautiful in the sunlight.

Jack was probably waiting for it to get up and start walking. Mmmm, smells like Churchill. Why isn't it moving?
So cute!!
Love Coco and the new screen door. Is it pet proof screen?

You should see when I brush Noah when he's blowing out his undercoat. I easily get 3-4x that amount of hair Luckily he's not really a constant shedder. Once the undercoat is gone, it's gone.

That's what I figure with Churchill because I do brush him twice a week , and this is the first times (in the past 2 weeks) that we have that much fur.

the cats can't go through that's for sure , and they can't climb it because of the wood across it. Dogs wouldn't go through it either because they can see the wood panels. oh and , this door opens on my backyard too so "if" there would be an accident , the kitties would still be safe ... but I'm sure nothing will happen.

I usually leave Noah's until he starts loosing clumps if he scratches, then I know it's ready. At that point the undercoat has let go and is just being held by the longer guard hairs so a comb or brush pulls it out really easy. I have an undercoat rake but I actually prefer my shedding slicker. The slickers come in a few different styles, the shedding one has a curved head and 2 different lengths of pins. It just strips that undercoat right out and I can actually see his skin again! (when he's got his winter coat you can't find skin the coat is so dense ) After he gets a good grooming he looks like he's lost about 20 pounds because he's no longer nearly so wide. His thick undercoat makes the rest of the hair all "poof!" out so he looks twice as wide as he really is. Once he's blown his coat I don't do very much grooming with him, I'm lucky that he's not one of the collies that mats easily behind the ears and inner thighs.
