Smile Hi!
I'm new to this site, and I want to say hello. From what I've already read, this is a very informative forum to learn about our beloved friends. I have an almost 12 year old chow chow/pit bull mix who is the love of my life. I'm slowly losing him, and I'm looking for support and help in the days ahead with some of his health issues. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi Mooie and Welcome!
It's always sad watching our loved pets get old and maybe sick,if you have any specific problems with your dog,you have to tell us a little more,maybe someone can help out.
I had a Chow-Chow ShepardX a long time ago,a wonderful dog:love:
We also would love to see a pic,never seen a Chow/PitX before.

Thank you for answering my first post! I left a new thread, but I haven't had any replies to it yet. I edited it because I didn't think the title was clear enough ... I hope I haven't started out doing things wrong. I've got a beautiful picture of him, and I'll send it as soon as I can get it reduced to fit the file max.

Thank you so much! I'm very partial to him, if I say so myself. Regardless of what they say about pit bulls, he's an absolutely wonderful creature. Maybe it's karma that I got onto this website, but I think he's actually doing better today! He didn't wander all over when he first got up. Maybe it's the group hug that did it! Thanks, everyone, for your support!

He is beautiful,looks like he got the best of both breeds,I bet he is really strong..
I am sorry you are having troubles with him and I sincerely hope you'll get some help from this Forum.

Welcome to the site...what a sweet looking boy. The people on this site are very good and have lots of experience with any four legged and sometimes 2 legged creatures.

Thanks for all the good wishes and group-hugs. He actually had a decent morning today, but later this afternoon he started to falter a little. I'll take any good minutes. That's what I don't understand about all this: one minute he walks normal and the next he has trouble. He tries so hard to be his old self, and with a little determination, he might pull his way through this. No one so far seems to know what this might be, so I'm guessing this is just a sign of old age ... I know how that feels!
