Introduction and my BD/Dogo mix!!

Hello!

I am new to this forum, and wanted to say hello to everyone! The wife and I currently have a cat, a turtle, and we will be getting a puppy at the end of March when she reaches eight weeks.

I already have a concern. I live in Ontario, and the dog is a mix. Her mother is a English Bulldog / American Bulldog mix, and her father is a Dogo Argentino / Boxer mix. I have been reading through old threads, and this thread (http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=74096) caught my eye. I fully intend to register the dog, but the dog was an "unexpected" dog and does not have any formal papers.

Is there a way for me to get proper documentation, or am I purchasing a contraband dog which may be seized from me and put down??

Thanks for your time and your help

Hi there stopsnowing -welcome to the forum.

I believe if you take the dog to the vet they will name/guess/suggest its breed. Depending on how the dog looks you might have a bunch of leeway on what name they put.

Thanks for the reply . I'll be sure to bring it up with the vet during our first visit.
