Skylar and the Furry Purries
Here are some fresh pics of Skylar (you may remember her from this thread when she was first found.
She's filled out considerably and is a solid, very strong girl. We're amazed at how well she's doing. I took these yesterday at my parents' house. Sitting pretty. Here you can see her shiny, thick, curly fur. Her coat was much thinner and she was quite flaky for the first 2 months. A side shot From the top, no more hips and spine! Running around like a goof with my little sis. Gettin' some lovin' from Nathan. Skylar and the cats have made the most progress of all, much to our relief, phew! Mr. Angus still likes to snooze high above Skylar on the desk hutch. Finn's a little less concerned with Skylar and goes about the business of sticking her head in the glass for that last drop of milk. Our pretty pup.

Angus looks like he hasn't a care in the world. Skylar is looking great.

As long as he's beyond her ability to stick her nose in his face, Angus is very relaxed and contented, when he's on the floor he moves quickly and keeps both eyes squarely on Skylar
Finn on the other hand is of the mind that "this is my place and no dog is going to dictate where I go, so there", so she wanders around and even lets Skylar sniff her. Two very different reactions to Skylar. I love it

Stacer! OMG I cant beleive how far Skylar has come!
I remember the first post and pics of her and I cried! It hurt to see her so frail! I cant imagine where she would be right now if it wasnt for her Angel that rescued her and now you for providing her with her FOREVER home! It truly is a story I will never forget! She is stunnning! her body has filled out perfectly! I am sure its been alot of work for you getting her used to the kitties but she sure looks okay with them in the pics! I remember when I brought my dog into our lives and I already had 2 cats that were pretty fussy! I was worried that it wouldnt work out and i would have to get rid of my boy! it all worked out and funny thing is! my 6lb cat rules this roost over 110 lb dog! You should be very proud! she is beautiful! Cindy

What a great story. Way to go Stacer. She is an absolutely beautiful dog. Isn't rescue so rewarding, despite the "bad" days at the start!? So good to hear and see how well you are doing with her.

Stacer,Skylar looks absolutely amazing, you've done a great job with her.
I just looked back to the way she used to look, you can so clearly see the hopelessness in her eyes and look at her now,a very lucky pup. Love the kitty-pics too, especially the very contended Tabby on the shelf

Thanks everyone, Skylar had a good start back to health from Melinda, we just kept shoving food into her, LOL.
I haven't been the greatest at posting lots of pics, but her changes look more impressive when you haven't seen pics of her in over a month
