questions on techniques

My dog has been recently diagnosed with an urinary tract infection. We were told by the vet to get him to drink as much as possible along with his antibiotic. I was just wondering if anyone had any techniques to get him to drink.

You could add water to his food or try homemade chicken broth (or commercial cubes, as long as they don't contain salt).

While I think Badger's recommendation is the best. Trying bottled water over tap can also help. Some dogs are also ice cube fans!

I agree with Dr. Lee - bottled water. I also find that if I take the bottle and drink some myself, my dog absolutely has to have his share as well. And, yes, watch the salt.
