My Puppy's Paw
ok so i have a six month old mix labrador (male)
front paw one toe pad is peelled back about the size of a nickle skin underneath is white no swelling or excretion tender if pressed on firmly skin is very hard like that of a scab know what it is?? Last edited by Jaquo116; November 13th, 2010 at 09:35 PM. Reason: spelling error |

Does the area look like it was punctured or more as if the pad has been ripped back? The description of white has me concerned that there could be some infection. I would suggest that you have your dog seen by a vet. In the meantime you could try soaking the foot in some warm salt water to help keep it clean and fight infection.
