Unbelievable! What an a**. And to call himself an animal rehabilitator? I hope he gets the whole year in prison.

I agree that the man has issues and should do time.

BUT - what in the world happened to owner responsibilty? They know that the neighbor had two of their cats euthanized a few years ago, they have another cat that went missing a year or two after that and they still havent figured out that they need to keep their cats inside?

Just once, after they charge someone for catching a cat in their own yard and having it euthanized, i wish they would charge the cat owner some kind of fine for letting their cat run loose.

OMG,what a terrible story, but it also tells us,you should know where your cats are at all times, not let them roam.
Not everyone love cats,the way I do..
I doubt he will go to jail for this and probably will just continue doing his evil deeds!

Regardless it is one sick person who would willingly euthanize a family pet, he had to know that the cat belonged to the neighbors. If however there has been some recurring problems with the neighbours cats in the past there are better ways to solve the problem than what he did,

I hope that the family will keep a closer eye on future pets though, or perhaps not get anymore cats, they could have easily been run over, attacked or any other unimaginable situations. The one reassuring thing about that story is that the cat was HUMANELY euthanized, it could have been worse.

I also think that indeed this man has some serious issues, taunting the children like that, takes a big man!

On a different set of message boards, not pet related, a woman was relating that she had been seriously ill for a time and asked a friend to care for her much loved cats while she was in the hospital.

Without asking her, and without knowing the details of her recovery prognosis or if she would even have any limitations, (she didn't) the "friend" decided that she didn't need the "bother" of having cats and had them put to sleep. I can't even imagine that someone would have that kind of audacity !!
