This just made me ill

I was scanning Kijiji for doggie stuff and found this. I feel so bad for this puppy, he is from the same Puppy Mill Raid as Sugar. I thought when I got Sugar the contract said if for any reason I could not keep her I had to return her to the HS. Maybe I should call the HS and report the add. It just made me so mad when I read it. Here is the add.

I have a black and brown coloured terrier mix that was adopted from the Humane Society in Sarnia, ON. He has been neutered, given his first set of rabies shots and has been treated with Revolution every month since June. His last application of Revolution was Oct. 25th.

I have all of his papers from the humane society, as well as then training video that came with him which describes how to care for an adopted dog. The Humane Society did take him from puppy mill in the area so he still needs a lot of rehabilitation. They could not give me an exact age for him due to him being from that puppy mill, but I would estimate that he is close to 1 year old.

I will give all of his toys and his crate to anyone who can take care of him. The reason I have to give him up is because I will be moving to London for work and will not be able to bring him with me. If you would like to meet the dog (I've named him Jackson) then please e-mail me. You may call me anytime in the afternoon at

Lotus - can you e-mail him and tell him to contact the SPCA or forward this ad to the shelter. I am certain that he signed the contract that this dog is to be brought back if no longer able to care for him. Please try this. It's anonomous to forward a kiiji ad to the shelter director.

Thanks for caring.

I know when you adopt from our shelter lotus that that is in the contract. I would follow BenMax's advice, you have nothing to lose.

Good idea. If I see any dog that I think I have seen from other rescues or if there is any indication that the dog/cat was adopted from the shelter - I absolutely advise them. I do know for a fact that rescue do go that extra mile to take their animals back, I am not sure about the SPCA though. Worth a try regardless.

Good for you Lotus! You go.

Also sent the ad to them. I just don't want to see this poor pup end up in a home that does not understand what hes been through. Poor little baby has to start all over

Starting over - but better back at the shelter than in someone elses hands.
