New cat chases old cat

We have had 2 cats two dogs for a while now. Recently we got a 3rd cat. The 3rd cat however chases one of our other cats whenever he can. (The other is a female) We have put him in his kennel when this happens as they dont stop.

What can be done. The female does not want to be chased. No big fights...I think mostly play fighting. The female gets awry when he does this. She never was close to our two goldens but now lately she is okay with walking by them. Before she would hide and not want anything to do with it.

The exact same thing has happened with my guys - the kitten Alley relentlessly chases the big guy Jake, who doesn't like it at all. It's pretty much impossible to stop it completely - Alley will do it whenever she can - but I've found that by spending quality alone time with Jake for about 20 minutes or so - petting him, playing with him - and then letting Alley back in the room, he's much more relaxed with her, and even chases her back!
