Another Bird ID question
Is there a bird that sounds like a cell phone ringing? I thought one of my neighbors' phones was just really really loud, but I'm starting to think it's a bird. Like "Bli-li-li-li". I don't know what my problem is, but I get so annoyed when I hear a noise and don't know what it's from....

I don't know where you are, but around here the mockingbirds have become extremely urban. Because they imitate sounds that they hear, they can sometimes sound like a variety of things.
When I lived closer in the city, we had a mockingbird outside that had learned to imitate a car alarm. LOL!

Really? That's so funny. I'm near Montreal. It's really like a phone ringing, but it won't be as annoying if it's a "natural" cause...

Sound like it may be a chickadee. ( I always thought they sounded like chika-di-di-di-di) but I guess they sound like Bli-li-li-li too
Here is a pic of them: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/bow/bcch/. It also give a sound demonstration.
