Got one, Sam , shortly after he came to my house , with his lion's cut yes he had to be shaved when I got him out of the shelter , and the groomer gave him a lion's tail (don't mind me and the other dogs that I was trying to round up for a group picture)

does a fascination with tails count?

Romeo is obsessed with the movement of my sister's dog, Indie's, tail!

My Monsieur le chat does that too sometimes to Bailey. I always wonder if it hurts the dog ? (mine uses his claws )

It doesn't seem to hurt Indie too much! She loves playing with him - they're visiting again now and even with Romeo being so much bigger she still seems fine with it! Although now they're chasing each other around the living room so hopefully no damage will ensue that way Barkley's just sitting in his chair looking at them like they're nuts

Hehe, that's cute. Lucy is super tolerant of the cats until they go after her tail and then she has to lay down the law!

Great pics everyone .

Ahhh Cool...That's what I'm talkin' bout.

Frenchy - Nice shots and great shots of Sam's & Merlin's furry tails.

Wdawson - Nice tail shots as well. I especially love the 3rd shot in post 34 of the crossing of the tails....and sweet cat tails as well.

Byrd - Nice nub. LOL. Actually it looks like a taily nub as opposed to nubby nub or stubby nub.

Jessi76 - What a nice serene shot! Good job.

meg4050 - LOVE the kitty tail play. Shot #3 is oozing sweet cuteness

TeriM - Nice snow shot and love the tail cross in the last shot and in the Tofino shot. BTW - LOVE Tofino.

Nice shots everyone...love to see some more....!

So more tail pics

Pic 1 Mischief
Pic 2 Cally - I can't believe I never took a close up pic of his tail, here you can kinda see it's crooked
Pic 3 Cally - better look @ the crooked tail, he had several vertebrae in his tail fused together, I don't know if this was from birth or something happened before his mom & his whole litter were dumped @ shelter

The long lost Molly tail...

  • I don't know what inspired me but I took the first shot the other day - before i'd been to pets.ca and seen that the August challenge was "tails". Kinda eerie.
  • Second shot: Tail in action
  • Third shot: Synchronized tails
