Lettin the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin it back in.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain't gonna happen anyway.

A few warm and cozy pics here too ... Misti and Spoutnik relaxing after "helping" with the decorations; and one of Spoutnik asleep on my desk yesterday - he's growing, can't feel his bones through the skin anymore either

Frist out should be Lewis with Spoutnik the parrot-cat and Sheba as he got home from work,

Then me with Misti and Spoutnik, and finally,

The pic with Misti and Spoutnik after the decorating ...

He's messing around with the TV or PVR or X-Box, something noisy anyway

Say, anyone have an idea how long to roast a turkey for? 7 kilos of it, stuffed with ground veal/raisins/dried apricots/pine-nuts. but ... well, it IS a bird!

I don't know Sarah,yours is probably a fresh one,I bought a 7 kilo one too,but it's one of those cook-from-frozen already stuffed Lily-Dale and it takes 7 hours.
Misti is such a beautiful cat and I bet the little runt will be equally so,I wish I could get a little kittenbut I am too old,I might not live another 20yrs to take care of him:sad:

RUBBISH Chico!! You'll live to be 90+ and in great shape, just like my neighbor across the street. At 92 she still lives at home (alone) and walks up and down her driveway every day - except now with the snow and ice, no need to tempt the devil and risk breaking something!

I googled the turkey and came up with 12-16 lbs turkey = 4-5½ hours, so it's in the oven and smelling nice already. I got a butterball, defrosted it and stuffed it with ground veal/apricot/raisins/pine nuts. No MSG or I'll be tomorrow!

Presents are under the tree, since they've moved my Christmas, might as well do the whole thing. But the "ribbe" is for tomorrow night, with the "surkål" and gravy and potatoes don't have any aquavit though, oh well.

OK, these are my first attempt. I am having a red eye (or green eye) issue with my camera that I really need to figure out.

Lucy was feeling very sleepy in front of the tree .

She's passing the sleepy vibes over to Riley (notice Fred munching on the tree in background)

Fred heard the rattle of the cookies so came to investigate .

The last pic is really sweet. We had company last night, and they couldn`t get over how all our furries got along so well and played and/or just left eachother alone. Balanced animals will not fight for nothing, there is a family respect born from being in the same house with humans who don't panick every time a cat and a dog is in the same room. Proof in your pic as well.

All opened ... and it's a whole year till next time

Chico2, do you use kale soup with meat balls too? I've got that as an inherited Christmas tradition from my great-grandfather Boman who was Swedish. Funny thing is, Lewis enjoys it too, so it's one tradition that's going to stay
