CAT TOYS - teasers

Awhile ago I bought a cat teaser for my kitten (the ones with the long piece of fabric on the end of it). He absolutely loved it.

My cat stopped eating and began to lose weight and became very grumpy with our other cat (which was very unusual).

About a month later (after visiting the vets many times and having tests done) we came downstairs in the morning to find large bits of the teaser and knotted up hair elastics thrown up all over the house. He had basically eaten the entire teaser and it had been stuck in his stomach the whole time.

After this he was completely back to himself. He started eating and gaining weight and now he is perfectly fine.

I just thought that I would write about my experience because I don't want it to happen to anyone else. It definitely could have been alot worse. I now keep the teaser locked away and he is only allowed to play with it when I play with him. Also I never leave hair elastics around but I found out that at night they would fall out of my hair and that is where he was getting them.

I just don't want this to happen to any other kittens!

I'm so glad your cat recovered! How scary!

Thanks for sharing your experience!
