Dog having trouble urinating

Hi I am new here, My dog Buddy , he has been dringking alot for the past few days and today he is having trouble urinating . He will stand in the position for 5minutes and not actualy pee, but he did pee in the house twice today, just a little. We are worried about him he is just over 10 years old , any ideas on what this could be? Our vet is over 3 hours away , one way so if anyone has any info on this it would be appreciated.

Thanks

bud&bug,I do not know an awful lot about dogs, but your pup and you will have to take the 3 hour drive to the vet.
I suspect UTI(urinary tract infection)however I am not a vet and it needs to be treated,it probably very painful and uncomfortable for your dog and will only get worse if left untreated.

Vet...ASAP...
The longer you wait, the more costly a health problem becomes. It could be as simple as some antibiotics if you get your dog to the vet asap. But waiting, could cause kidney infection, or worse.

Is your dog neutered, bud&bug? If not, he may be having prostate problems. Prostate infections can be very painful, but neutering is an almost 100% cure for prostatitis.

Good luck at the vet and for a quick and complete recovery!
