Soft Coated Wheatons

I love my 10 month old Wheaton named Brady - However (clearing of throat), he is super active and always has to be doing something. Lots of chewing and attention getting. He is my little

I have a question - our big thing now is his jumping up on people. He gets SO excited and cant calm down enough for him to even hear us say down.

Any reccomendations??? Please help!

How much exercise does he get and what kind of training have you done with him, including work with distractions.

What were his parents like?wheatens are a breed going through a surge in popularity and some of the poorly bred ones are extremely hyper.Your breeder should be able to offer you some training advice. The wheatens I've had in respond really well to positive reinforcement since they seem a lot softer temperament than most terriers.Terriers even wheatens are extremely active high energy dogs who need lots of physical and mental challenges or else they find their own, like chewing etc channel the energy.
