correct dosage?

Tiffy (the rescue puppy mill pom with degenerative hip) recently started tucking the leg up, she's hardly putting any weight on it at all and I would like to try Glucosamine (instead of metacam) but what dosage for an 8 lb. dog?

Think ya need the vet input on this one. My vet was able to tell me over the phone for my boys.
