Exclamation Hello- dog breeding question

My name is Megan and I wanted to say hello to everyone. I am a happily married 26 year old who has two beautiful children.

I have a dog that is a mix she weighs about 12 lbs. and is 8 months old. She is pregnant and the only male dog around the neighborhood is a goldendoodle...What should I do... She is getting her milk and is big...Do you all think she will be able to have these puppies? Please help!!!

Once again hello and I look forward to hearing from you all.

Megan

This board it big on spay and neuter!!

If your dog is that small and young and she has mated with a dog that large you really need to take he to a vet, having these puppies could kill her.

I hope your dog gets the help she needs, and I hope you keep us updated.

Please make a vet appointment as soon as possible. If an x-ray is taken, the vet will be able to tell if the puppies are too large for your dog to deliver. And then please have her spayed. Good luck to your dog and her puppies.

As the milk is coming in, it's kind of late to be looking for solutions. As previously said, take the dog to a vet and have an xray done. I'm sure you wouldn't want a dead dog during delivery. If it is the goldendoodle then a c-section will most likely be needed.

Not necessarily. My last dawg Tai was born of a mother who got impregnated in her first estrus ~ poor thing.

We can only hope that Megan has the good sense to get her dog to a Vet for a c-section and has the poor wee dog spayed right there and then. AND goes out of her way to be certain that all the puppies are given to people whom she has researched thoroughly to ensure that they are going to homes where they will be loved, cared for and also spayed/ neutered.

There are some valuable life lessons in this video I think:

With all these negative posts why should she come back?

I do not see how being so nasty will help her.

It is sad but honey catches more flies then vinegar

There has been nothing nasty said, from any of the wonderful members who have given the number one advice....

Please, bring the dog to the vet, I hope she makes it through the birthing. Take the up-most care in finding this unplanned litter of pups homes.
Then please get your dog spayed and enjoy her for the rest of her life.

Volunteer at any shelter, be there tonight when animals will be euthanized because there are not enough homes for all the animals who never asked to be born!!!!
Thank You Mummummum for posting the Brightlion..In hope Video.
It should be posted every time someone comes here looking for breeding advice!!!

I agree, nothing nasty has been said, just the opposite, I can't believe how well this topic went, I'm impressed *L*

a neighbours beagle was once impregnated by a husky, emergency c-section 2 weeks early, it can greatly harm the pregnant pup, so please follow the good advice given. see your vet.
