Ughhhh!! Ad for a Siamsese that has me Riled

I am still searching for a Siamese cat (and please if anyone knows of any, let me know --- the time for shipping kitties is coming to a close soon as winter comes upon us!!!)

Anyway, I just came across this ad in the classifieds here:

Very friendly lap cat needs a new lap to sit upon since a member of the family is allergic. Please contact for more details! Asking $25 for accompanying equipment.

The ad notes the cat is 13 years old.

WHEN did they discover this alledged allergy?

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Thanks! This is where I found this ad. I have written to a few of them but am getting somewhat desperate in my search. I hesitate to go to a breeder but that may be what I have to do. I am going to see a special needs Siamese next week though so hopefully he will not be adopted by then. I am having such bad luck and have already cancelled a Florida vacation, booked time from work in anticipation of a kitty that was adopted after some miscommunication (an email reserving her that was not received), paid for airfare for that kitty (on the plane, NOT cargo - a nonrefundable ticket) and I am so upset about it all still. I know somewhere there is a cat that needs me and I him or her.

If anyone knows of a needy Siamese, please let me know!

Thanks!!!!!

Lightbulb Just a suggestion

Call your vet and let him know you are looking. Many vets have elderly patrons who have to rehome a cat because they are moving into a care facility and can't keep their beloved pet. Many of these pets are perfectly healthy and well-adjusted. They just desperately need a new home.

I have already talked to the vet and the local SPCA but thanks for the suggestion.
