Twodogs already has two dogs or I'd be on my way. She is beautiful and I am a big fan of English Pointers.

Does she have any 'issues'?

This dog was adopted around 2 years ago and now is being re-dumped as owner is moving.

I have not met her, but I understand she is a good dog with no issues but does need some training.

tell the owner before she gets dumped to try and contact Rosies. From there I believe she can be adopted very quickly

She's so pretty!! Have her owners contacted any other rescues? Rosies? Sophies? Gerdy's?

I have been asking around as well - I live in Toronto - but so far no luck. But will continue to do so.

I was Honey's original rescuer she has been in this home where I placed her over two and a half years ago.

She would probably chase cats but I do believe proper introduction and gradual integration would work out.

Her disposition and behaviour is very lovely, she is not aggressive and very playful. She is smart and learns quicky, would benefit greatly from a little gentle obedience training. Someone to spend time with her is what she needs and will thrive with.

Cross your toes too!

An email just came in from someone in Montreal who just lost her old dogs, has always had and loved pointers, own home with fenced yard AND a 200 acre farm.

No other pets.

Oh yes, somebody has to want her, she's beautiful and loving it's an absolute travesty she's being dumped:sad:
Luba,I just did not want Honey to go to a new home with cats, only to be dumped again because it did not work out.
I am sure with the right person, who takes the time to train her to leave cats alone, she will learn for beautiful Honey

I hope she finds a great home.

I will post her on the bulletin board at work.

How old is Honey?
How much will the adoption fee be?
Is a home inspection required?
Is she good with kids?
Is she house trained?
Where in Ontario is she?

What else can I say about her other than she is an English Pointer?
Can I provide a contact name - number - email?

Hi twodogsandacat,

- Honey is approximately 4 years old.
- In regards to the adoption fee, please contact Luba.
- In regards to a home inspection, please contact Luba.
- She does not come from a home with children. She is ok with them on the streets, she lets kids pet her.
- She is most definitely house trained, she's quite the home-body. Does not enjoy the rain, or the cold, or MUD. That was a big issue for her this weekend, wanted to stay at home. lol.
- I am currently residing in Toronto, I don't know who gave LuckyRescue the idea Honey lived outside of Toronto....??

But anyways, here is my piece for the record:

Chocolate is a lot of work, has always been. I cannot take care of two dogs efficiently.... as hard as that was to say, I've said it. Bottom line is this: Chocolate needs one on one attention. Honey needs lotsa loving. She's a dog who will watch you from near or afar and she enjoys it. She likes humans and really likes getting to know the routine of humans. This is her entertainment. I "chose" Honey to be rehomed because she should be that much easlier to be rehomed then Chocolate. Honey's the smaller dog (in size and voice, lol)

Anyways, one last thing, after living with Honey I would strongly discourage a household with cats, unless the two are kept separate. Honey does not enjoy cats and finds them a threat. My previous downstairs neighbours (I live on the main floor of a house) had a cat. The cat would sit at the adjacent door and Honey would sniff often. She was quite drawn to it and would try to nip if the cat was outside with the owner.

Regards,

Aggie

No one gave me that idea. I simply didn't remember where you lived and it really doesn't matter.

We just want to help get Honey a permanent and loving home!

I just wanted to reassure everybody that Honey will not be going to a shelter.

She will be coming to stay with me until I find her the perfect home. I made a promise to her a long time ago.

Thank you to those of you who have sent words of encouragement and support to me, I appreciate it more then you know especially at this very difficult time.

any updates on this application???
I love pointers, we actually hesitated a while between boxer and pointer. If Hubbie would let me have another dog....I'd take her in a heartbeat!

Looking for Luba

Hi!

I am looking for Luba! I am new to this site and I cannot start a post of my own yet--so I apologize for threading onto yours!

I came upon an old post by Luba while in a Google search. She gave some advice about a vet in Atlanta. I was wondering if she had any more information about that.

If you read this Luba- plz send me a private message with your email!

Thanks-
Jen
