LuckyRescue, & sammiec

Please read my first line I said " with the utmost love for pitbulls etc" and no harm meant. I LOVE ALL BREEDS OF DOGS, you should know that if youve read my posts. I can replace any referance to the pitbull with any breed and will do so. It's just the way the story was printed. I didn't take it as a reflection of the breed mentioned, but rather a reflection on how most wives feel about their husbands and mothers in law

I'M SORRY IF I OFFENDED CHLOE, OR ANY PITBULL OWNER, I thought I made it clear it was just coincidence that breed was used. I understand with all going on now PB owners are sensitive, I will change the breed mentioned.

I did read your post and understood that you're not meaning to offend. I just wasn't too thrilled by it that's all. Maybe it's just the day, or the frame of mind... that's all...

I know it was not your intention to offend, and in other times maybe it would be okay.

But with these dogs - most of them just as sweet, inoffensive and lovable as Sammiec's Briggs and my Chloe - being abused and killed in uncounted numbers for no reason, this makes me sad.

The joke doesn't need to name any breed, as I'm sure if it were changed to Rottie,Dobie or other stereotypical "mean" breeds, it would still be offensive these days.

Can we get the joke, without the breed? I'm curious now, and I didn't see it.

and I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think I'd sweat the reference to pitbull too much. You didn't mean anything by it, and I think we are all a little sensitive in today's enviroment to pitbull references (I know I am). That being said, when I'm with close friends or family members, I use the stereo-type to make a point or a joke. Personally, I'd say no worries. Just don't let it happen again, or we'll sick a poodle on you!

Oh, and Lucky, I know you were making a point with your first post, but it still made me crack up looking at that picture! I hope that was intended as well!

It was a joke involving a certain breed, about a dog who was good for kicking somebody's arse. As far as I remember

Dear Schwinn :D

Schwinn, sorry buddy, but really, I can't remember a joke the next day, let alone 2 weeks later, lol YES, I am getting old. It's a can of worms I don't really want to open again, but in a nut shell, it had to do with a woman leading a funeral procession, followed by a pup and another 200 women following behind. In short, the pup had attacked the husband and he was now gone, all the other women following behind were waiting in line to borrow the pup.

See, it wasn't that funny, you ain't missing nothing! LOL sick a poodle on me, would probably lick me to death, but I'll keep that in mind for next time

Sounds familiar...I think I've heard it before. It's still funny without naming a breed, but I don't remember how it goes. I read your reference to this in the "other" thread, so I came to check it out. Anyway, all is forgiven, and if anyone knows the sanitized version...
