Unhappy Rosebud

Hi,
This is my first time posting here.
I just lost the most wonderful dog & my best friend,Rosebud, my 18.5 year old Shih Tzu.Yesterday she started having horrible uncontrollable seizures/convulsions every 15 minutes. She would stiiffen up and start crying and then her mouth opened wide as if she wanted to scream. It was horrible.I took her to the vet and she continued to have the same seizures/convulsions.
The vet said that it appears that she has some sort of brain disconnect, possibly a brain tumor.I had to do the most painful thing of my life and that was to put her down. She was in so much pain I could not stand for her to live that way.
She has been blind for a few years now and for the last few years we have had to carry her to go to the bathroom, eat and drink.
She has had several issues through her long life and I feel that I have been the best mom ever.
I still miss her and will always remember her.I have another Shih Tzu who is only 7 years old that I will now devote my attention to him.

My heart goes out to you on the loss of your beloved Rosebud.
I lost my beloved Lhasa Apso at 18.5 years also and I know the
heartache you are going through.

Time may help to ease the pain on the loss of your beloved Rosebud.
But only few know how you will miss her and the lonliness you will feel
throughout the year. Remember though that your Rosebud is now free from
all pain and at the road's end, God willing, you two, shall meet again.

May your other Shih Tzu comfort you and help you overcome your pain.

Rest in Peace Rosebud and remember that you will never be forgotten
and will always be missed.

So sad to read about your loss...but you did the only thing a loving mum could do, and made that most difficult decision. Your concerns were for Rosebud first and what was best for her.
