Cat Chewing on Metal
My cat has recently been chewing on a lot of metal. It started out that he was chewing on zippers and bra clasps, but the other day we found him licking coins and foil. Someone told us he may have a mineral deficieny. What do you think? What can we do about it? Thank you

If you are feeding a good quality cat food, your cat should have no deficiencies. Anyway, this type of behavior is not associated with mineral deficiencies.
It *can* be a symptom of a certain type of diabetes, or hyperthyroidism, so I would take him to the vet for some blood work. |
