My dog has a growth on the side of his mouth

My Dog has a growth on the side of his mouth that appeared about two weeks ago now. I took him to the vet last week and she prescribed an anti-inflammatory med for him. It doesn't seem to be helping tho. If anything the growth has gotten bigger. It doesn't seem to be bothering my dog tho. He doesn't scratch at it. And I've seen no difference in his appetite or his energy level. I've taken some pictures any experiences with this would be helpful. I'm going to take him back to the vet in the next few days.

An anti-inflammatory? Did the vet also run the recommended bloodwork before prescribing it? Liver and kidney values need to be watched with those.

Is it reddish? I'm not sure I can tell - does it look more inflamed or infected?

It almost looks like lip fold pyoderma? Penatin creme is often used successsfully for that. My phone isn't handling the pic well, so not sure.

Thanks for replying MaxaLisa, it kind of looks like a spore sort of thing... at first the new "globes" are red then they turn black. Not sure of it's an infection or inflamation. Looking at pics online that was my thought too that it might be lip fold pyoderma.
