Some stuff from the last few days
Some stuff from the last few days . . . . .
Keeper, who isn't too good with calendars, forlornly wonders when Christmas is finally going to get here . . . . while Abby digs for ice chips in the background: Today, Saturday, we visited Chain Lakes, Abby and Keeper running along the shoreline of one of their favourite walks, a place where they can literally run for miles without seeing anyone or anything: Abby chills out on the ice: Keeper runs with a treasure she's found, a bone from a long-dead cow . . . Christmas came early after all!!! On the way to this place we spotted a dead coyote, hanging upside down on a fence, apparently its own doing. Near Chain Lakes on the treeless prairie today . . . . no snow on the windswept prairie . . . it will be a brown Christmas here. . . . . . and scrub brush and tall grass in a low winter sun on a desultory (my favourite word from soap operas) day. Ice fishing under a winter solstice sun . . . And Polly wishes you a Merry Christmas . . . . so say we all!!! Great pics. They kind of capture a gloomy, "waiting for snow" kind of mood.

Beautiful pictures as always, Rick. I love the picture of Polly under the tree. Who needs any more presents than that?
