Harry Potter*Urgent*

Harry's foster can no longer keep him, and he must be gone (new foster or adopted) by Oct. 17 or he may end up at the SPCA.

If anyone can help, please PM me.

He is sweet and smart, but got no training before being dumped on the street, but is housetrained.

He needs someone who has the time and inclination to train and exercise him.

He loves other dogs and people too!

I think that is what she is looking for, another rescue with foster space available. Unfortunately, kennels are just too costly for rescues. Been there, done that - paid from my own pocket. All that is left in my pocket now is lint

I have had to do it myself, but if it is a foster, you just have to do what is right. You could do a fundraiser for boarding, ask past adopters to donate, ask fosters to donate, anyone you can think of.

This is not one of our animals, but we're doing everything in our power to help him - vetted him, taken him to all our adoption events, put him in our local paper, asked all the "dog people" in the area for help, etc.

The lady who is fostering him - and she is not a foster for us - found him dumped on the street and asked us to help her. We are a cat rescue and have no fosters for dogs (or even for cats!)

She already has 5 dogs and cannot keep Harry much longer.

NO animal we take in would be put in the SPCA, or any other shelter - ever.

Poor Harry! I just emailed his photo to a cousin in Mtl - the one who rescued and brought home a border collie from Ireland. He loves dogs but he travels alot so he'd not be a good bet as a foster but he might know someone.

So.....Harry (now "Charlie")is gone to live on a 5 acre property, with two other dogs to play with, and a person who is home all day and has no cats.

I swear I'm not making this up!!

Harry

I am sure Harry knows how lucky he is to be chosen to live there! Acres of land, two other dogs, a Mom who is home all day?? Lucky, lucky, dog!!
When I was a kid, we had a mixed shephard that my parents got "rid" of. They told me he went to Dr. Ballard's Farm (years ago, there was a commercial about dog food on T.V. where you would see dogs running and playing in the country...) For years after, whenever I would see the commercial, I would look to see if Tippee was there. I was sad that he was gone but happy for him that he was on a farm! Of course, I now know that this wasn't his fate and to this day my parents won't tell me what they did with him.

Hurray for Harry!

No. This lady has been thinking about him this week, went to see him last night and decided to take him.

He had a wonderful time this morning getting completely covered in mud.

susieqt, that's very sad. Parents don't realize what kind of effect that sort of thing has on kids.
