Unhappy PLEASE HELP !!! Cat can no longer Meow ?

Please help
My darling Olivia can not Meow - she tries but only makes a snort ?!?!
I checked her teeth and throat , which is fine ... She is quite lethargic and is being anti-social.... I am extremely worried , it has been a few days . She is a 5 Year old Lilac Point Siamese...
thank you .
Erin

Take her to a vet. She sounds like she can't get enough oxygen.

My vet's web site has a resource centre, and in there I found reference to asthma, which is apparently more common in the Siamese breed. Are you sure your cat is trying to meow, or is she heaving or coughing instead? Is she crouching with her neck stuck out while doing this?

Either way, please get her to a vet.

Good luck!
